About AJ
I'm AJ Kincaid (they/them), a multidisciplinary artist based in Tucson, AZ. Thank you for being here!
Whether you need to cast a film or stage production, create a memorable commercial, or find the perfect voiceover fit for your next project, I combine my love of storytelling with the diverse set of skills I’ve mastered to bring your vision to life and draw your audience closer.
My “Origin Story”
My Aunt Leslie introduced me to comic books when I was growing up, and it kicked off a lifelong obsession with storytelling. Weird, human, fantastical, alien, it didn’t matter. I loved all of it. Even before I had the words to describe it, I understood how stories could help people connect– to each other, to important ideas, and to themselves.
My love for stories of all sorts led me to:
–Study acting from 2011 until 2014 under the guidance of Todd Polestra, Nancy Davis Booth, and Mickey Nugent (Pima Community College).
–Spend 2 years refining my technique through the Stanislavski system with Phil Bennett (Bennett Theatre Lab).
–Perform in multiple indie films, audio plays, and podcasts (Carter Ink Films, Elephant Scout Films, Geeksplained Podcast, For Every Kind of Geek)
–Study voiceover technique with David Babich Studio
–Become a professional gamemaster and create StoryCrash Media, an independent media company focused on creating and analyzing pop culture and fiction
–And study aerial straps and rope (along with other forms of creative movement) to round myself out as a performer and learn the art of physical storytelling.
When I’m not creating characters, writing scenes, experimenting with new voices, or cooking up innovative ways to challenge the players of my 5-year-long D&D home game... you can find me training hard on my home aerial rig, enjoying the Sonoran desert, and cooking from scratch for friends and family!
